About Us

Who are we?

Chaplains’ Care Ministry is a ministry that provides trained chaplains to serve and visit in Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, Hospitals and Hospice Care. CCM is located in St. Petersburg, Florida and chaplains are certified through this ministry and commissioned according to the Word of God to minister to those in need of spiritual care. (Deut. 34:9)

Chaplains’ Care Ministry seeks to train for this ministry any believer that believes they are gifted to serve as a servant to encourage others to trust in the one and only source of eternity. (John 14:6) They must have a love for God and a love for neighbors who are afflicted. (Matthew 22:37-40)

Chaplains’ Care Ministry is a non-profit ministry and is funded by missionary support from churches and donations of anyone interested in sharing in the blessings of helping those individuals who are no longer able to care for themselves. This ministry is controlled by God as the CEO and a Board of Directors.

Chaplains’ Care Ministry provides spiritual care to residents that cannot or may not desire to attend a formal church service. The Chaplain is in no way to force religion or spiritual counseling on the residents. The chaplain explains that we are there each week as a friend and spiritual encourager. The visits consist of a weekly room to room, bed to bed visit. Chaplains encourage the residents to seek God for help, offer to read from the scriptures to them, pray for the resident and leave a large print scripture or booklet for the residents to read in between visits.

Chaplains’ Care Ministry chaplains visit residents in the facilities under the approval and direction of the Activities Director or Administrator of the facility. As chaplains we are a guest in the facility and not an employee of the facility. We must have their approval to visit, and an agreed time to fit their calendar.

Chaplains’ Care Ministry is at the facility to minister to the residents and not to interfere with the staff or workers. However, if an employee asks for spiritual help we are there to serve them too. Chaplains are at all times to dress appropriately as a minister of God. They should always be neat, clean and present an uplifting attitude towards the staff, workers, and residents.
